The applicant agrees to the terms and conditions and then creates an account. The applicant is required to answer a detailed series of pre-screening questions prior to posting their career availability on HIRING-POLICE.com. The prescreening profile is then made available to all agencies that advertise with us. These agencies can contact the applicant by email.

Is the information contained on the database secure?
Absolutely! The database does not contain any social security numbers or dates of birth. This prevents any identity theft issues. The website information is also protected by VERSIGN®
How do the agencies contact me?
You are required to leave an email address that you can be reached at. If you desire, you can leave a phone number in the additional information section.
Can I change or delete my profile?
Certainly! Just sign in and check on the “manage profile” tab. You can make any changes or delete your profile entirely.
My account is locked, what should I do?
Please e-mail or call us and we will reactivate your account.
How long will my account and profile remain on the system?
Your account and profile will remain on the system indefinitely unless one of the following occurs:
You delete your profile.
The account is found to be fraudulent or contain inaccurate or inappropriate content.
At the discretion of HIRING-POLICE.com after (90) days of inactivity.

The agencies that advertise with HIRING-POLICE.com have access to the applicant profile database. Applicants are required to answer a detailed series of pre-screening questions. The questions include, but are not limited to drug use, arrest history, driving history, military history, credit history, college education, ability to speak foreign languages and what areas of the country they would be willing to work. An agency will be able to search the database by their pre-selected criteria that is closest to their actual hiring requirements. The database will also provide a way to manage and contact these potential applicants.

Does HIRING-POLICE.com verify the information submitted by an applicant?
All information is submitted voluntarily by the applicant. The information IS NOT verified by HIRING-POLICE.com. Each agency should verify the applicant information as part of their normal hiring process. An Agency may consider any false information as a reason to suspend an applicant’s application.

How many contacts can an Agency have?
HIRING-POLICE.com allows up to 3 authorized contacts per Agency to access the system.
How do I remove a contact from our Agency’s account?
Please e-mail or call us to have a contact removed.
Will I be notified before our Agency account expires?
We will notify you in 30 days before your account expires, then again one day before expiration. We will also send out a final notice just after the account expires.
